Strategies for Success

This page features best practices, strategies, and easy to follow steps for success that students and families can adopt in their daily activities. Check this page regularly for updates to come.

Do an Ego-Boosting Security Refresh

You’re probably using your devices more than ever these days, and it’s always a good idea to periodically update passwords. This time, create new passwords that double as stealth motivators. For example, think of a phrase like: “You’ve Got This”, then use the first letter from each word, a number (maybe the year you graduate), and a symbol (Ygt20!) to make the password. Every time you type it in, you’ll send yourself an encouraging message.

Pick a Hype Song

Athletes pick “Hype Songs” to get themselves in the right mindset, ready to play. Many other professional people do the same. I cannot help but feel good, be ready to go after listening to “Feeling Good Like I Should” by Brown Skies.

Pick a song that gets you going, encourages you, and pushes you to be the best you can be. Listen to it everyone morning, concentrate on what it is saying. Get up and dance, jump, run, sing! Whatever it takes to be ready for a great day! We cannot change yesterday, but we sure can make today great!
